BRIEF
The Tempus Trilogy is a multi-generational political fantasy series that needed a cohesive cover design system to visually connect the three books while highlighting each story’s unique themes and emotional arc. The goal was to create covers that stand out on both physical and digital shelves, capture the mythic world of the series, and support marketing and reader engagement through a memorable, unified visual identity.
SOLUTION
Each book cover features a central object and primary color chosen by the author, reflecting the story and its main character. Subtle, story-specific details were incorporated to deepen the connection to the narrative. Objects are set against textured, thematic backgrounds, with accent colors harmonizing with each book’s primary tone. Silver typography for the titles ensures consistency across the trilogy.
A custom family crest appears on the back and subtly on the spine of each book, visually linking the series. Pattern overlays corresponding to each story’s theme add narrative depth and visual richness. The result is a cohesive, bold series that captures the essence of the Tempus Trilogy while allowing each book to maintain its own distinct identity.
